Effective Date: 30 July 2026 · Applies to MyAptsOS, MyCivicOS, MyLifeOS, and all applications published by MyOS Group.
MyOS Group ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use any application published by MyOS Group, including MyAptsOS, MyCivicOS, MyLifeOS, and any future applications we release. By using our applications, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Depending on which application and features you use, we may collect the following categories of information:
Name, mobile number, and email address, used for account creation and verification.
Society name, apartment/society information, and flat number to associate your account with your residence.
Resident information, and committee/admin information for users with administrative roles.
Vendor profile details for users registered as service providers on the vendor marketplace.
Visitor and gate entry details recorded for society security and access management.
Complaint information and maintenance requests you submit, along with their status and resolution history.
Notices and broadcasts sent within your community, and your interactions with them.
Where applicable, UPI transaction reference numbers (UTR) submitted to confirm maintenance or other payments. We do not collect or store your UPI PIN, bank account, or card details.
A device token used to deliver push notifications relevant to your society, ward, or account.
Device information required for application functionality, such as device type and operating system version.
We use the information collected solely to provide, maintain, and improve our community management services — including account authentication, processing complaints and maintenance requests, managing gate and visitor logs, enabling the vendor marketplace, sending community notices and push notifications, and confirming maintenance payments submitted via UPI.
Our applications are built on Google Firebase infrastructure, which processes data on our behalf under its own security and privacy commitments:
Used to securely sign users in and manage account credentials.
Used to securely store application data such as complaints, maintenance requests, and resident records.
Used to deliver push notifications, such as complaint updates and community broadcasts.
These services are provided by Google. You can review Google's own privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy and Firebase's data handling at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
MyOS Group does not sell user data to any third party. Information is shared only with the infrastructure providers described above, and within your own society, ward, or community context (for example, an admin viewing a complaint you raised) where necessary to deliver the service.
Your data is stored on Cloud Firestore with role-based access controls, so users only see information relevant to their role (resident, admin, vendor, or councillor). We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure.
We retain your information for as long as your account remains active and as necessary to provide our services. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time — see our Delete Account page for instructions. Some records, such as financial transaction references or records required for legal or regulatory compliance, may be retained for a longer period where required by applicable law.
MyAptsOS and MyCivicOS are intended for adult residents, administrators, vendors, and civic officials, and are not directed at children. MyLifeOS may be used by younger users within a family context, under the supervision of a parent or guardian who manages the account. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without appropriate consent.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us using the details below. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable period.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
